Shavuot 2016 begins in the evening of Saturday, June 11th and ends in the evening of Monday, June 13th.
Choir To Perform Shavuot
Baltimore’s Premiere Synagogue Choir, conducted by Choirmaster Marshall E. Feldman with Dr. Steve Glasser as soloist, will perform at services at B’nai Israel Congregation on the first day of Shavuot, Sunday, June 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The choir will sing several extraordinary Jewish liturgical works composed by a number of the most important and exciting composers of the past. These liturgical compositions have for centuries been the spiritual gateway for Jewish worshippers and communities in synagogues across the world and sadly now are in danger of becoming forgotten through disuse.
Everyone especially interested in the music of the synagogue is invited and encouraged to attend the holiday services beginning at 9:30 a.m. Kiddush will follow the services.
